Dear Blue Water Acres guests,

The comfort, safety and enjoyment of our owners, guests and staff is our priority at Blue Water Acres.  We are taking numerous precautions to keep our cottages and common areas clean and our guests and staff safe and to provide you with as worry-free experience as possible.  As you know these are unprecedented times, we are continually changing and adapting to new circumstances.  Please have patience with us during this period and above all please be safe and continue to look out for the well-being of yourselves and other around you.  We are all working together to get back to “normal”.

The Ontario Government now requires owners and guests 12 years of age and older to be fully vaccinated or an official medical exemption is presented in order to have access to any of the indoor amenities.  That includes the indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, games room and fitness room.  You can still come and enjoy your stay with us if you’re not vaccinated but you will not be allowed entry into the indoor amenities.

All Covid-19 measures:

  • Screening is required prior to check in.  Should anyone in your family have symptoms, been in contact with a confirmed or possible Covid case or traveled outside the country and have been told to self-isolate, we will be unable to permit entrance as a safety precaution for all owners, and guests.  You must read and sign the attached Blue Water Acre Covid-19 Screening Form.  Please fill out the required information, sign and date this form and bring it with you.
  • Face masks are required in indoor public spaces including pool building (except while in the water), games room, fitness room (until you start working out) and the foyer of the main office.
  • All owners, guests, and staff will be required to follow Covid measures including wearing masks inside public spaces, social distancing, hand washing hygiene and stay home and seeking medical attention if feeling unwell.
  • All staff are required to complete and pass a screening test before starting their shift.
  • Frequent disinfecting of all high touch areas
  • Hand sanitizer stations at key traffic areas and entrances
  • Credit, Debit, or e transfer payments only.  No cash transactions.
  • Our housekeepers are working very hard following our enhanced cleaning process in the cottages, trying to ensure every surface is wiped down using hospital grade cleaning products.  As diligent as they are trying to be there is still a risk that something gets missed.  If you have any concerns with the possibility of picking up the virus from surfaces, please feel free to bring your own cleaning supplies and wipe down the surfaces again.

Continuing Measures:

  • Check in time is any time after 4pm.  We understand that you are eager to start your vacation, but you must allow our housekeepers enough time without rushing to clean and sanitize the cottage.  If you arrive early, you may use the facilities while you wait.  But please realize there is no access to a washroom.

    • Payment will be taken on the morning of your arrival date, using the credit card on file unless you let us know otherwise.  If you choose to use an alternate credit card, please call the office at 1-800-461-4279.

    • Check out time is 10:00am.  Late check out is not available.  You may use the facilities after you check out.  If you do, please note that there is no access to a washroom after you depart from the cottage.  Your vehicle must be parked in the main parking area by the main office.  It cannot be left at the cottage or parked in front of the lakeview cottages.

  • Blue Water Acres grounds and facilities are for the exclusive use of resort owners and guests.  No outside visitors are permitted on the resort during the lockdown restrictions.
  • Face masks are required in indoor public spaces and outdoors when social distancing cannot be maintained.  Wear a face mask at any public indoor space at the resort including pool building (except while in the water), games room, fitness room (until you start working out), and the foyer of the main office.
  • All owners, guests and staff are required to follow Covid measures including wearing face masks inside public spaces, social distancing, hand washing hygiene and stay home and seeking medical attention if feeling unwell.
  • All staff are required to complete and pass a screening test before starting their shift.
  • Specific beach chair placement to ensure social distancing at the beach.  Sanitizing spray is provided to sanitize the chairs before and after you use them.
  • Our housekeepers are working hard following our enhanced cleaning process in the cottages, trying to ensure every surface is wiped down using hospital grade cleaning products.  As diligent as they are trying to be there is still a risk that something gets missed.  If you have any concerns with possibility of picking up the virus from surfaces, please feel free to bring your own cleaning supplies and wipe down the surfaces again.  The housekeepers will be leaving red laundry bags in the cottages.  We are asking owners to strip the sheets on the beds they use and put them in one bag and put your towels and kitchen towels in the second bag.  Please leave them inside, by the door on your departure.
  • Washrooms are available in the office.  Please use the back door of the games rooms
  • Books, board games, puzzles, and DVD’s can be borrowed from the equipment room between the hours of 9am-8pm.  Please use the back door of the games room to access the equipment room.

Activities at the resort:

  • Walking trail starts between cottages 118 and 119 and loops up.
  • Waterfront and beach are available for lounging, strolling and swimming with social distancing required.
  • Canoes, kayaks, pedal boats and paddle boards are available between the hours of 9am-5pm.  To use the boats please fill out the Blue Water Acres Waiver every time you wish to borrow equipment.  Waivers are located at the beach and at the main office.  All equipment must be returned to the beach 30 minutes before closing.
  • Tennis, badminton, pickle ball, and basketball are available.  Equipment can borrowed from the equipment room between the hours of 9am-8pm.  Please use the back door of the games room to access the fitness room.
  • The fire pit by the lake is available for use after 6pm as long as there is not a fire ban in effect.  The recommended social distancing requirement of 2 meters or 6 feet must be adhered to at all times.  Everything is provided at the firepit to start a fire.
  • The indoor pool, and whirlpool are open between the hours of 9am-8pm available on a first come first serve basis.  Maximum 12 people allowed in the pool building at a time and a face mask must be worn at all times except when you are in the water.  In the entrance way of the pool there will be a white board hung on the wall.  You must record your name, the number of people using the poll and the time entering.  When finished cross your name off the list.  There is no reserving your spot.
  • Indoor games room is open between the hours of 9am-8pm available on a first come first serve basis.  Maximum 6 people allowed in the games room at all time.  A face mask must be worn at all times.  Please use the entrance at the back of the building.
  • The fitness room is available between the hours of 9am-8pm.  Maximum 2 people allowed in the fitness room.  Please see the main office for the key to the fitness room.  A face mask must be worn at all times except while working out.  Please use the entrance at the back of the building.

What to bring:

  • Your own tennis rackets, badminton rackets, and basket balls
  • Personal supply of hand sanitizer and wipes
  • Your own face masks or other PPE if using them.
